As a registered Allied Health Professional in Australia, Chiropractors are able to bulk bill through Medicare through the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)  Program. Through the EPC rogram, if you are suffering from a chronic disease or illness, including musculoskeletal pain, you are eligible for five (5) Allied Health Professional services per calendar year.

The EPC Program is by referral only and needs to be planned through your GP.  You are able to utilise the whole 5 treatments on Chiropractic or a combination of treatments. This is decided by your needs and should be discussed by your GP.  It is also your choice in which clinic you choose to receive treatment, although the GP may recommend another clinic or service.

You will need to bring your EPC referral and Medicare card to your appointment.

We do bulk billing for Department of Veteran's Affairs Gold Card Holders. If you have a Repatriation Health Card – For All Conditions (Gold Card), the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) will fund for chiropractic services available through DVA arrangements to meet your clinical needs. For information about eligibility and use of the Gold Card, click here.

You must be referred to a chiropractor who is able to provide services under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (Dr. Vo is registered with DVA). A referral can be issued by a:
  • Local Medical Officer (LMO);
  • General Practitioner;
  • Medical specialist;
  • Treating doctor in hospital;
  • Hospital discharge planner; or
  • Chiropractor with a current referral.
A referral remains active for twelve months from the date of referral. Referral dates cannot overlap from one twelve month period to the next.
There is no limit within the 12 months on the amount of treatments allowable, and is determined by the chiropractor and the condition of the patient and their clinic need.
